I would have to say that Brittney and Zach is one of my first authentic adventure sessions with their wild Cataract Falls engagement session months back. They are also the couple that helped me fall more in love with shooting at the falls. The two of them adventured out to Cloverdale, IN, for their engagement last year with me, where we actually climbed the falls together from top to bottom. At the end of the session, I went out on a limb (literally) and trusted a tree branch with my body weight to capture one of my favorite shots to this day of the couple next to the roaring falls. After an epic session like that, nothing made me happier than to capture their beautiful wedding day surrounded by friends and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Rooker said their "I Do's" at Finley Creek Vineyards in Westfield, Indiana, in the middle of June. The day began as we met Brittany and her bridesmaid at the hotel (Springhill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Westfield, IN) to grab the getting ready photos and detail shots. The wedding gown hung in the bridal suite at the venue, and after dress photos were taken, the dress was put on for the first looks; one with Brittney's dad and one with Zach. The ceremony took place outside, behind the vineyard. And the reception was held indoors where the DJ played the best music and had guests on the dance floor the whole night.
Little tidbit: Brittney was actually a good friend of mine during my college years. Old photos we've taken together throughout the years have popped up on my social media memories which makes it so much more special I could celebrate her finding the love of her life.
