This month starts the annual celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Photos By Hiedi strives to use all platforms to emphasize inclusivity and diversity.
Dani has been a close friend of mine for years and when she found Kenzee, it was instant happiness that anyone could see. I loved seeing Dani smile ear to ear every time she mentioned Kenzee. And the cutest moment was when Dani made a Tik Tok asking Kenzee to be hers.
I was so excited to finally get to meet the person that made Dani's smile light up her whole face. Kenzee and Dani complement each other beautifully in kindness, personalities, and extraness!
We started planning for this photo session at the beginning of May. Kenzee had a whole Pinterest board to help bring the couple's aesthetic and ideas together. A week before the session, I got a FaceTime call from Dani to show me their matching outfits.
Dani and Kenzee put their extraness together to create the perfect wardrobe combo for their matching two outfits. They knew they wanted to do one dressier outfit with an all-black look for the first outfit. And for their second outfit, they pulled out all the rainbow details from a simple rainbow detailed shirt to rainbows nails to shoes with a rainbow sole from the Adidas pride line. The absolute best part of the second outfit was the hand painted rainbow on their jean pockets.
We met up downtown in Mass Ave by the infamous dancing lady and spent the next two hours exploring the city for the perfect spots to match their outfits. Kenzee brought two of her friends to create the best hype team any person could ever ask for. It was so fun exploring and adventuring with our little group of people before catching the gorgeous purple sunset.
This year, pride might look a little different with the pandemic, but I can't wait to see how everyone celebrates this beautiful month. Thank you to Dani and Kenzee for sharing their love story with me and letting me share it with you through their beautiful photographs.
